Am I embarrassed that I played Puperazzi? No. I am totally not embarrassed that I played this game okay? Okay, now that you’re convinced that I am not embarrassed or feel any modicum of shame over playing this game, I can attempt to review it. Puperazzi is a game where you walk around in first person taking photos of, you guessed it, puppies. Some puppies wear hats, some play volleyball, others ride tandem bicycles. The game gives you hints on what dogs you need to take pictures of and what lens you need to use. For example, a hint can say to find the star gazer, in this instance I found a dog on a roof chilling on a chair looking at the stars. Others may require you to switch to a fisheye or black and white lens. This loop is actually pretty fun and silly. I’m not big into the cozy genre but I played this game during a difficult time in my life and it was nice not to play yet another grim dark shooter or checklist driven open world game. I am also a dog dad, so that helped as well. Do I recommend Pupperazzi? Yes, actually. If you like Pokemon Snap, this is essentially the same game, only instead of taking pictures of Pokemon, you are taking pictures of dogs. Writing this review, I understand that this game sounds god awful but it’s not. If you need something to calm your nerves and make you chuckle a bit this is a nice, short playthrough you can finish in a weekend. Reflecting on this, I am proud to say I played Pupperazzi. Yeah.
