Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an amazing game that exceeds expectations in every way.  If you are a fan of the movies, of which there are only 3, this story is a great 4th entry in the franchise, with a narrative that matches the strengths of those 3 classic films.  Troy Baker puts in an award worthy performance as Indy. If I didn’t know it was him, I could have easily mistaken him for Harrison Ford.  The gameplay is equally as good as the narrative and presentation.  It provides you with 3 incredibly well designed semi open world stealth sandboxes.  Each of these maps have an incredible attention to detail that are filled with secrets and side quests.  Do not skip the side missions in this game, they are all interesting and feed into the larger narrative.  Gameplay consists of sneaking around large maps bashing Nazi skulls in with whatever weapon you can find. Guns are in the game but the ammo is scarce.  I almost never used guns as the melee combat in this game is so fun and guns really only just alert everyone around you.  There are linear levels that provide plenty of spectacle between the 3 open maps that are provided.  The puzzles here are mostly pretty simple and certainly won’t break your brain however, that is okay since it keeps the pacing brisk.  These days, I feel like I have to force myself to finish most games, however Indiana Jones is a case where I was bummed when I reached the credits.  That is the strongest endorsement I can give this game and you owe it to yourself to play it even if you are not a fan of the films.
