Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors is easily the most addicting game I have played in a long time.  The game is an inversion of a bullet hell shooter.  Instead of dodging bullets and attacking, you are the one creating the bullet hell.  If you are on a controller you need only use the left stick to move.  The more waves you survive, the more enemies chase after you.  All you need to do is dodge and everything including your powers/weapons are fully automated.  I have read that many people think this game is mindless.  When I hear the word mindless in regards to a game, I think that it is a game that I can zone out to without much consequence.  Due to this, I heavily disagree with the notion that this game is mindless, since I was always engaged and trying my best to survive.  The game also has depth to it in the form of weapon evolutions.  If you combine 2-3 specific weapons they evolve into a completely new weapon.  This is an awesome system that encourages experimentation since the game only hints at what weapon combinations exist.  The game also comes with a metric ton of characters that you consistently unlock, each with their own starting weapon or buff.  This is a roguelike where you can use gold to unlock permanent upgrades to increase your chances of survival. These upgrades are substantial and have the potential to make the game too easy but thankfully you can get rid of them if the game does become too easy for you.  This is a great co-op game and my partner and I easily put in close to 100 hours into this game.  Having a game that only requires one hand is a great idea, and once I got good at the game, I could have a tasty drink in one hand, and kill a bunch of monsters with the other.  I’d say that is quite the perk!  Enjoy this game, you fearless vampire killers.
