Remnant 2 is a solid sequel that improves on almost every aspect of the first game. The game consists of a randomized campaign that takes you through 3 very different worlds with loads of secrets to find. I see that this franchise is often compared to the souls franchise. While there are some elements here that are similar, this comparison feels reductive in nature. Yes, there are bonfires where after you rest at them, enemies respawn but there is no corpse-running or potential loss of experience. The difficulty can be high but nowhere close to the level of difficulty of the souls games. Instead of comparing and contrasting this game to the souls series I will focus on the game itself. Remnant 2 is a co-op semi open world 3rd person shooter with in depth build craft. Each class in this game is interesting and highly customizable. The replayability is high since once you beat the game, you can reroll the campaign. The subsequent playthroughs will have different map designs and bosses which is awesome. The game does not hold your hand and sometimes it can be confusing as to what you are actually supposed to do. The sci-fi world is especially confusing and if you happen to roll that world first you may be scared off. I was. The other 2 worlds are much more straightforward and fun so it is worth getting through this world to experience the rest of the game. If you are looking for a challenging shooter to play with friends, Remnant 2 is great choice.
