Trigger Cut Game Reviews

I was hyped for Sonic Superstars.  The art style looked great (it does) and it looked like a return to form for the mainline 2D sonic games.  I hate to say that this is easily one of the worst 2D sonic games ever made.  Like the original Sonic the levels are constantly stopping your momentum and it is maddening.  The worlds are uninteresting and boring.  The bosses are some of the worst designed encounters I have experienced in my almost 30 years of gaming.  These bosses are way too long and lack any checkpoints. I have a rule where I do not review a game unless I beat it.  This game is the first and so far only exception.  I got all the way to the last boss and after hours of failed attempts and repeating the same boss stages over and over again, I was done.  I had to put this down for the sake of my mental health.  Sega owes me some free therapy sessions for subjecting me to this hellscape of a game. In summary, game is bad, do not buy.
