Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man 2 is a fantastic sequel that successfully continues the story of it’s predecessors.  This sequel decides to iterate not reinvent.  Most additions to this sequel are positive.  The new wingsuit is a fun new addition to traversal which allows you to get across the map faster than ever before.  The parry mechanic is less successful since it is difficult to get used to since I was used to dodging.  Adding this mechanic makes the combat a little less tight and a bit more messy than its predecessors.  While the story may not be as strong as the first 2 games in the series, it is still well done, and has some great, emotionally resonant moments.  While the Mary Jane sequences are improved by giving her more options to be aggressive, this is still a feature that the games would be better off without.  The swapping between Spider-Men is cool but it does not motivate you much to swap between characters since they both play similarly and none of the missions give you a choice of which character you want to play as.  Like its predecessors, this is not an open world game that is full of bloat. You can easily complete this game and all of its side content in about 20 to 25 hours which feels great.  If you enjoyed the first two games in the series, you will enjoy this entry.
