Sniper Elite: Resistance

This is a solid game however, it’s hard not to see this game for what it is. A lazy cash grab.  The Sniper Elite games have always been fun, albeit forgettable games that do not change much between entries. With the 5th entry the series finally started to evolve the franchise by making the maps more similar to the new Hitman games. The maps were now massive and could be tackled in many different ways which really helped with replayability. Resistance keeps this more open design however, the maps here are smaller and less ambitious.  Resistance also uses one map for two different levels as well as reuses a map from 5.  Playing this, it is difficult to not see this as lazy, because it is.  The core gameplay remains strong.  The story remains bad as it always has been in this series but it feels even more phoned in, in this entry.  If you are a fan of the series, you will find more Nazi sniping goodness. All you have to do is close your eyes to how truly lazy and phoned in this entry is.
